Pop the kettle on and get comfy, because I wanted to sit down and write you a little letter from my tiny corner of the internet. Welcome to Meem & Moon, my cosy space for Islamic themed stickers and enamel pins that are cute, uplifting and full of barakah, in sha Allah.

I am a British-Chinese Muslim Revert based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with my background in market trading and selling cute pins and accessories, I wanted to move over to the Islamic scene as part of my revert journey where I try to shift away from non-Islamic merchandise. Meem&Moon was born to facilitate this.

Tiny reminders, big barakah

The heart of Meem & Moon is very simple. Tiny reminders, relatable humour and big barakah.

Life gets busy. We are juggling work, studies, kids, family, health, everything. It is so easy for our hearts to feel heavy or distracted. Sometimes all we need is a small nudge. A “with hardship comes ease” on the corner of your laptop. A “dhikr not disturb” reminder sitting on your phone case. A cute “BRB, salah” cat on your water bottle making you smile when you are tired and trying to get that last sip in before Maghrib. Etsy

These are tiny things, but they can gently pull the heart back to Allah over and over again.

What you will find at Meem & Moon

On this site, and over on my Etsy shop, you will find a mix of:

• Islamic waterproof vinyl stickers
  Perfect for laptops, phones, water bottles, journals and planners. There are Quran verse stickers, du’a reminders, cute Muslim characters and fun designs like “Backbiting blocker on”, “Oops, I broke my wudu” and “BRB: Salah”.

• Kawaii Islamic enamel pins
  These are little works of art you can wear on your tote bag, abaya, denim jacket or backpack. Designs include things like “Slow but in sujood” with a turtle, “Your Lord has not forsaken you” with butterflies, pastel prayer mats and more.

• Palestine inspired pieces
  You might spot a “Pika Palestine” pin or cats in Palestinian keffiyehs. These designs are my small way of keeping our brothers and sisters in mind and making sure our support is part of our daily life.

Every design starts as a sketch. I think about the feeling I want you to have when you see it. Comfort. Hope. A little giggle. Or that soft, humbled feeling when a Quran verse hits your heart at the right time.

How to use Islamic stickers and pins in your everyday life

If you are anything like me, you do not need a reason to buy stationery. You just need self control. But in case you want ideas, here are some of my favourite ways to use Meem & Moon stickers and pins.

• On your laptop or iPad
  A Quran verse or “Dhikr not disturb” sticker near your keyboard, so every time you open your device, there is a gentle reminder to keep your heart connected.

• On your water bottle
  A “With hardship is ease” rainbow window sticker or a Palestinian cat sticker. You carry your bottle everywhere anyway, so it becomes a little da’wah piece too. Etsy

You could buy a random sticker pack from a huge company that does not even know what “Alhamdulillah” means, or you could buy from someone who genuinely makes du’a that your sticker is the reminder you need on a hard day. That is the difference.

A little note on quality

I get asked a lot if the stickers are waterproof and durable. Yes, they are printed on waterproof vinyl and designed to handle everyday use on bottles, laptops and journals. The enamel pins are made with a smooth, hard enamel finish and metal backing, so they are made to last, not peel and fall apart after one outing.

I test everything myself. If it does not survive my clumsy cup spills and overstuffed bag, it does not go on the site.
